Like my stomach hurt so much I was sitting on the toilet for probably 30 minutes trying to poop. The very next day, my mucus plug came out. I woke up with period-like cramping the day before and day of. The day before my waters broke I had uncomfortable feelings on the top of my belly. I thought it was LOs feet jamming into my ribs at the time and I remember rubbing the top sides of my belly and gently pushing down constantly to make it feel better. I had one big contraction that woke me up from a nap, then I took a big poop, the contractions started regularly right after that and I knew it was the real thing right away. I was 40w3d and getting ready for church when I felt a period-like cramp. I thought, "Hmm, that's different." 20minutes later, the same thing. I knew then that these were contractions. I also wonder if the day my water will break, or contractions start I will notice anything different. Be more tired, feel baby move more or less?<br /> I just want some signs :-). </p> <p>Did you feel anything different before your contractions started, hours before or at anytime before?</p> <p>I am definitely feeling period like cramps here and there but maybe like 2 to 3 times a day and sometimes sharp pains in the uterus area .. nothing major though. </p>
