Like @mrs.bee, I had to take a big poop. Like my stomach hurt so much I was sitting on the toilet for probably 30 minutes trying to poop. The very next day, my mucus plug came out. Then that night, my water broke.

Nope. I felt good the night I went into labor! Lots of energy, but was tired because DH kept me up until 1am! :P

Nope. Everything seemed normal when I went to sleep, and then I woke up at 4am with contractions. I figured it must be the real deal since they woke me up and I couldn't sleep through them. (I was also 12 days overdue, so I figure they'd BETTER be the real deal!)

I was very cranky the two days before, completely resigned that he would never be born. I woke up with period-like cramping the day before and day of. My water broke at 2pm, noticeable contractions started by 4pm and were fast and furious from then on, and he was born by 10pm.

The days leading up to birth I was really tired- like I had been first trimester. The day before my waters broke I had uncomfortable feelings on the top of my belly. I thought it was LOs feet jamming into my ribs at the time and I remember rubbing the top sides of my belly and gently pushing down constantly to make it feel better. When my waters broke it took me completely by surprise, but looking back there were signs.

I didn't feel anything different. Once they started they came on pretty quick and close together.

i went into labor the day before Charlie was due. I had one big contraction that woke me up from a nap, then I took a big poop, the contractions started regularly right after that and I knew it was the real thing right away. No other signs though... it just happened!

Pretty much exactly the same thing with Olive, except it was even faster! 2 hours into my contractions I couldn't even walk.

The second my contractions started, I knew they were the real thing. I was 40w3d and getting ready for church when I felt a period-like cramp. I thought, "Hmm, that's different." 20minutes later, the same thing. I knew then that these were contractions. I gave birth the next day.

Going on 37 weeks I notice I am paying attention to every little pain and movement and trying to analyze it a lot more. I also wonder if the day my water will break, or contractions start I will notice anything different. Be more tired, feel baby move more or less?
I just want some signs :-).

Did you feel anything different before your contractions started, hours before or at anytime before?

I am definitely feeling period like cramps here and there but maybe like 2 to 3 times a day and sometimes sharp pains in the uterus area .. nothing major though.
