@yoursilverlining: you're correct at wdw you can only book at a single park. But at Disneyland since the parks are walking distance you can there!

We only plan to go to two parks, but the military discount is $169 for park hopper four day pass vs. $99 each park. So, it makes sense for us regardless.

@Mrs Green Grass: This is what DH wants to do. Spend one full day at DL and then use a hopper on the second day for DL and CA. But it looks like getting a 2-day hopper is actually cheaper than getting 1 day park pass plus 1 day hopper?

I use to have annual passes there. I think park hopper is good. I probably couldn't spend an entire day at CA adventure but I do think it's better suited for toddlers your kids age. When I took my niece she liked the rides at CA adventure better.

@Miss Ariel: We had park hopper on our last trip and you can only book FP at a single park at a time. I'm not sure if you did 3 at MK in the AM you cuold book at Epcot in the evening once the AM FP "expired" (and you might be able to), but once you book the first FP at a park, the other 2 must be at the same park.

I wish they would open up the FP more so that with park hopper you could book 1 AM in MK, 1 PM in Epcot, etc. - you should be able to make the most of the added cost!

We often do 1 day just Disney and the other day park hopper. We spend way less time at CA Adventure typically...

I spent way too much time agonizing over whether or not the extra expense was worthwhile and I ended up getting 4-day hopper passes. I was really glad we did because we ended up being able to hit all of the must see items in days 1 and 2 and left the other things for the remaining 2 days. We had torrential rains while we were there and had to cut our day 3 short so I was really glad we had gotten the hoppers so we could see everything we wanted to see and were able to take cover in the indoor attractions over the rainy days.

I believe if you have a park hopper you can have fast passes at both parks. In theory you could ride a fast pass, pick a new one, then go to the other park and ride a fast pass there. Although it would be a lot of extra walking, but I think a perk to consider.

We went last month with our 2yo, didn't get the Park Hopper option and did't miss it at all. We did 1 day in each park but next time we would prefer 2 days in DL and 1 or no days in CA.

We've done both and I don't have a huge preference for park hopper, but it is nice to have the option!

We have annual passes so its a little different, but i don't think we could spend a whole day at ca adventure. my kids are about the same age and most of the rides they like are at disneyland. we usually just hop to ca adventure for a couple rides then go back to disneyland for the rest of the time so a couple hours tops. disneyland has more rides and more characters/princesses to meet!

you can actually upgrade to a park hopper when you're there so you could see how it goes and decide then. although i think you'd have to do it on the first day.

We were thinking of spending one full day at Disneyland Park and one full day at California Adventure park. DD1 is 4 and DD2 is 1.5. We're thinking of just doing the 2 day, 1 park per day pass but now I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend more and get the 2-day hopper pass so we can go back and forth? For those that got the park hopper, was it worth it? And if you didn't get the hopper, did you wish you did?
