I wasn't comfortable having one at 6 weeks, then waiting til 12 weeks, since i m/c my first at 12 weeks (after seeing a HB and everything at 6 weeks). We were living 1200 miles from my parents, so when we were visiting for Christmas we went to have an elective ultrasound. It was the week before my scheduled anatomy scan, so they got to find out it was a boy with us. I loved the experience and highly recommend people do it. It was completely a different experience than with the medical ultrasounds. Apparantly that's a thing where they live in West Virginia. I think it would be fun to have them visit and take them to a place and get an ultrasound when I'm pregnant. I think they would like to see the baby. They are already so excited about being grandmothers one day. </p>
