I think for like a week straight they all practically lived at the house with us getting it ready. We weren't moving in right away because we had a lot of cleaning/painting to do - and our first night of home ownership he brought us over a giant pizza, a stack of paper plates + napkins, SOLO cups and a bottle of Makers Mark (DH's favorite!). Over the next few weeks, while we were trying to get everything done, those items (minus the pizza, of course) were complete lifesavers! A picture frame, a welcome mat. My parents helped a lot with the house- paid for it to be painted. I felt like we did everything pretty fast- engagement party, shower, wedding, baby shower, buy a new house. My brothers gave us money to buy a fridge (Samsung French Door, oh yeah!) and new TV (Samsung 42" 3D) and my mom gave us money for a new living room set (yet to be purchased)!</p> <p>We are very blessed to have great family! </p>
