It was mostly due to the facts that we were immigrants and they acted different socially, and didn't speak perfect english. When I was in kindergarten (and had a poor grasp on colors, apparently!) I would complain to my mom that my dad was sooo old and had "yellow" (gray) hair, which none of the other dads did. He actually wasn't even that old, lol. My parents were relatively "cool" and all my friends liked them. </p> <p>I guess the only thing I didn't love is that when I was in 7th grade my mom started working at my school as an MHDH aid. And then somehow when I went to hs they moved her there too… (I really don't think on purpose, but still lol).
