My parents weren't really into punishment in general, but as an adult, my mom came clean that she particularly doesn't like grounding because being stuck at home with a miserable kid is really just punishing herself... haha. </p> <p>But I was a pretty good kid. My sister sometimes got opportunities to go out taken away if she didn't finish homework. My parents were into consequences that fit the action. Like, if I forgot to turn off lights or electronics they'd charge me $0.25 to pay the cost.
