For P we were team green &amp; got mostly registry items!</p> <p>Sorry your friend would completely disregard your wishes for cloth diapers....</p> <p>I have heard of diaper showers where they did a poker game &amp; the buy in was a CD, maybe you could suggest something like that? Or tell your thank you &amp; you look forward to being able to donate them to your local shelter! Yea I would totally do something like that... We had a super cheery ultrasound tech who greeted us at an ultrasound with "Well, let's check and make sure your little boy is still a little boy!" She felt so bad! </p> <p>I got two texts this morning from people who wanted to buy decorations for the nursery, and I wanted so badly to say that we have everything we need in the nursery and we would rather have practical things. </p> <p>I also have a friend trying to throw us a diaper shower... We wouldn't put it on there if we didn't need it. I think I'm going to include a little note in the shower invites that says something like "we already have lots of clothes, so we'd love it if you could help us get the necessary gear". I did this for my bridal showers :)</p> <p>We haven't had ours yet, but I have done everything I can to encourage people to buy from our registry.
