Pitocin actually isn't approved for augmenting labor because of its high "failure" rate &amp; pp risks. (Pitocin used during labor increases risk of pp hemorrhage).</p> <p>With P I did receive a very small &amp; slow dose after delivery because I had a very tired labor (very long multiple day labor) and I was not able to immediately breastfeed.
