I only made it to day three when I tried it because my calves were so sore! They tend to get sore most during workouts. I should probably be more diligent about stretching my legs before workouts . I could barely walk without pain it hurt so badly haha! But it was that good sore where you know the muscles are being worked hard core.

I had the DVD on loan from the library so I couldn't keep going after I felt better.

The first time I did it, I hadn't exercise in months so I was very sore haha. I don't get sore anymore from 30 DS or Ripped in 30 because I've done them so many times I'm assuming, but then I gave six-week six pack a try the other day and was sore again! I think that's a good sign that I'm working different muscles.

If your elbow hurts, your form may not be correct. I agree that having a mirror around may be helpful!

I only started to get sore when i did level 2.

Hmmm, well it sounds as if it could be a joint issue. I always alternate days of activity anyway. The way your body gets stronger is a break down of the muscle and then the recovery is when they get stronger. Give yourself a day of rest between work outs by either doing a different activity working different parts of your body or take it off all together. As you said watch your form. Elbows and shoulders are very susceptible to injury. Good form is key. Either have Mrs. Bee watch your form or set up a mirror so you can see how you are doing. If it keeps up check with a local running store as they generally have free injury assessment times and you can see a PT for 15 minutes to get a quick opinion on whether or not its a big issue.

The soreness you are experiencing is the lactic acid build up in your muscles. Best way to get rid of it? Go for a walk or run. Get those muscles firing again and you won't even notice it. Great job doing the workout. I'm a distance runner and love the feeling of soreness after a long run or workout. Let's me know I'm doing it right.

@Andrea: Exactly-- when I was done, I was like, well, yeah that was sort of intense but did it do anything? Next two days I knew it did (this is after not doing it for ages). After that first time in a long time, I never got nearly as sore.

I agree there isn't a lot of stretching and it's a good idea to do some of your own. I also used to use canned goods and bottled water as weights since we didn't have much at home. Keeping in classy.

I just shredded!

Yeah you don't feel like the workout is tough after you're done, but then I can feel it the next day. Go Jillian.

YES. It killed my arms and quads. All that squatting while doing arm reps (BURN MORE CALORIES! *-*) was basically torture lol.

@mrbee: YES! When I did it I got sooo sore! I think mostly in my legs. I also couldn't finish it the first couple times :) That was back before I got married, I'll have to see how I fare postpartum - probably WAY worse! :)

Heck yes! It's a tough workout. I usually walk before I workout. It helps to warm you up and get muscles ready for a workoe.

I did Day One two days ago with Mrs. Bee and I'm pretty sore today! Especially my left elbow... I probably had bad form or something. Gotta work on that!

I skipped the shred yesterday but will probably do Day Two today! Hopefully I can work through the soreness. I read that the 30 Day Shred doesn't have enough stretching in it, so maybe I'll add some to the end of today's workout.
