They only used their hands, though, nothing like a belt or switch. And every time I would put my hands up to cover my butt, so the were actually slapping my palms. It stung for a minute (they didn't hit that hard), but mostly it wasn't the spanking that upset me - it was the yelling. I remember why it happened on two occasions. I don't remember why for any others. It was never threatened. It was just done. I was slapped, too, which was far more offensive than any spanking. That happened for a while any time I sassed my mom. My mom would also pinch the back of my arm when I was little and acting up in public. Also, my mom smacked me with a fly swatter which I now find so gross and my sister and I laugh about it all the time with my mom. The only time I could ever see it is if they are doing something truly dangerous and all other discipline hasn't worked. My dad cracked me across the head once, but only because he saw me do it my brother and thought I should see how it felt. I saw stars. There was also a lot of yelling in my family household.</p> <p>I hope I will be able to hold my temper better then my parents did.
