I don't think you need to get something, but certainly can! I think it also depends on your family's traditions. For example, in my family the godparents buy a cross necklace for the baby. Just one from Target. Didn't spend much on it, mostly cause I forgot till last minute. But she got lots of crosses and pictures to hang on her wall from family. O's baptism is next month and it just occurred to me that we should probably get him something special. We already have a children's bible and I am sure he will be getting many more from family members. Not sure what else to get!! Any ideas? Should his party just be his gift? I know he doesn't care/know if we get him anything. He is 7 months.... </p>
