My 1st was a scheduled c section at 39+1. No signs of labor but I went ahead and scheduled c section because of size.

My second was 37+5. No signs of labor but there was low fluid so out he came.

My third was the only one I actually went into labor. I had her at 38+2.

I am also following this closely. I was 39+2 with my first then 41+0 with my second. My third is due in just over 3 weeks and I am hoping I don't have a trend going here...

@matador84: I have always had early contractions and was even on bedrest with my first two pregnancies.....and this time did not rest for a second. And I'm less dilated/effaced at 36 weeks than I was with my first two!!

I was 39+5 with LO1, 40+5 with LO2 and 38+5 with LO3. That said, they had pushed my due date back by 8 days early on, and I think the original one lined up better with my charting. Going by that one, he was 39+4.

I'm super paranoid about being really early with this 3rd one so I'd love to hear insight! I had my 1st at 40+0 and 2nd at 36+6.

Bumping because I'm on the homestretch and it appears that I'm the least dilated / effaced w/ this pregnancy than w/ my last two (though, I'm only 36w!)

Mine got progressively earlier: 40+6, 39+6, and 38+5.

But those due dates were all based on their dating scans. Based on my tracking, I thought I ovulated later with LO1 (so she probably wasn't *quite* as late as implied above!)...and I thought my due date with LO3 would be 12/4, and their dating scan put me at 12/11, so he would've been 39+5 by my date!

All that to say....who knows?! :)

Pretty much the same as my second. Both were born at 40+1 in the evening!
My oldest was induced early so can't compare there.

@Astro Bee: no just as a general rule she doesn't let you go past 40 if AMA. I'm remembering this from my last pregnancy but will ask her again. Certain risks go up after 40 weeks with older moms, supposedly.

@winniebee @astro bee: yeah I find that interesting too. My last son was born when I was 37 and my OB would have let me go full 2 weeks after my due date and that was even after having an emergency c section with my first and a vbac with my second. I did, however, have no issues with any of my pregnancies so he probably had no reason to be concerned.

So strange. I'm 36 and due in a week and a half. Despite being a geriatric pregnancy (I lol even more at this than AMA) I'm considered low risk, and she hasn't said anything about needing to deliver before 40 weeks. My first 2 years ago, I gave birth at 40+4. Is there something your OB is concerned with specifically?

@Canoli: aaah that's crazy. My OB wouldn't let me go past 40 since I'll be almost 37, so at least there is that!

With your third baby, did you deliver earlier, later, or about the same time as your other pregnancies?

I delivered DS1 and DS2 at 38+3 and 38+4 and I would love to go that same distance this time. Of course, I'll probably make it to 40 instead!
