It was a camp for figure skating and I looked forward to it all year long. Church camp and 4-H camp and I LOVED it! Some years I went to a different church camp with a friend. All the camps were within a couple hours of home. And I loved it. I went every single summer, all summer long. I went to a day camp for the majority of the summer and a sleep-away camp for 2 weeks. Thinking back, there really weren't many "amenities". Just a bunch of kids in a community center in NY. But, I had fun just the same. It helped foster so many friendships.
