I had dresses already or borrowed from friends and never spent money on doing my hair. I just had my mom do it which was just curling it or I just went as is. Never went to my senior prom because my then-bf and I were fighting. He was a year older than I was, so he was a freshman in college and refused to go to a HS prom. He also "forbid" me to go alone (with a group of girls.)
