I read a novel about a young Korean girl that took place during the Korean War in the 1950s. I was so enthrall end that I read it in the car the whole way, and when I finished it I flipped to the beginning and started over. I did that the whole road trip. My dad still tells the story to this day! It really stood out in my memory and I asked my mom about it, but she didn't know the title. When teaching last summer, I saw it in the school's library! There was a picture book about a girl who wore a white dress and kept getting different colored stains on it, and in the end she got a pink dress for days she ate strawberry ice cream, a green dress for days she rolled down the grassy hill, etc... !
