I had a growth spurt right before my period started. </p> <p>Freshman year of high school (I was 14) I had a growth spurt. I was average height then grew about 5 inches within a year. And I remember one friend who had always been taller than me until one day her mom was like, wait, are you taller than Friend?? </p> <p>I don't know how much of a spurt it was as just growing slower or later than other kids? I'm 5'7", so tallish average. Just like my three sisters. I grew almost a foot, it was crazy. Hardly grew afterwards. I was always taller than her my whole life, but now she's 2 inches taller than me.</p> <p>She was ALWAYS the shortest (or at least the top 3 shortest) in every class all the way from grade school through middle school. A lot of the shortest guys I knew also ended up being some of the taller ones. So... I'm 5'7 as an adult (so not super tall) but in my 4th and 5th grade pictures I was on the back row because I was one of the tallest kids in the class. And that continued into 6th grade. I always waited for one, but it never happened. Well, I grew about 1.5" around 15-16 and then I stopped growing. I kept hoping I'd be a lucky one to have one after H.S. :silly: </p>
