It was just how it's done. Usually people would have bonfires for their close friends afterwards as well. Mine was awful (though that was my own fault; I was dating a horrrible guy at the time and I let him ruin it for me and all my friends were mad at me for spending way too much time with him at it. But I digress). For college we just went out for dinner the day before the ceremony, but I got married 2 weeks after college graduation so it was kind of like a grad party :P (though I had technically graduated a semester early, I walked with the rest of my class). We have them all throughout senior year, hosted by multiple people (like a wedding or baby shower). I think I had 3 or 4 in my honor, and went to probably 30 or more. Most had a theme, like luau or bunko or crawfish boil. There were favors and games and food. It was awesome!</p> <p>After my college graduation, my family just went out to eat.
