I'm a fan of that blog too :). And I think I know of the book too, lol. Well, either way, hoping things go well with your appointment and treatment! I don't want to take your thread off topic, but if you'd like any other catholic resources, feel free to post on my wall or message me on my blog :).

@tomatobee: Thank you so much! I've browsed This Cross I Embrace after being introduced to her in a book about infertility from the Catholic perspective. I bookmarked your blog to read more later (I'm getting ready to head home for the night). Thanks!

I've read a lot about NaPro protocol, but I'm not sure if my doctors follow it exactly. It's a Catholic practice, but as far as I can see only one of the doctors has any training directly from the PPVI institute. The practice isn't listed by fertilitycare, so I'm not sure how exactly they'll follow the usual guidelines (I'm hoping they do since I've read so much great stuff about it though!)

Also my blog (listed on my profile) has some links to other IF blogs, most of which are being or have been treated by NaPro, in case you're interested in hearing others' experiences :).

I've been treating with Napro for the last year or so. In my experience, and from what I've heard from others, they are generally very good at billing things to avoid the infertility label being triggered. Everything so far has been covered :). NaPro has a standard protocol for testing, with blood draws and ultrasounds, so you may want to ask about that. My biggest questions were just generally what the plan was and what to expect going forward. My doctor was very good at spelling out the plan for treatment and alternatives if things didn't work.

@PurplePumps: Thank you for the feedback. I kind of figured that would be what most people do. But the type A person inside me wants to be totally prepared :)

I didn't have a list of questions. It was more for me to gather information from the RE and for her to get medical history and share with me what their typical treatment plan was. From there, I'd research and read and then maybe have some follow up questions.

After having to reschedule due to weather, I finally have a WTF appointment on the books for next week.

I have an appointment for a followup to another issue (recurring cysts), but when I asked if the cysts could be affecting TTC when I saw him a couple months ago, my doc said we'd talk about IF at this appointment (since it would be past the year mark).

I'm wondering if anyone had a list of questions they went in to their WTF appointment with or if they found checklists or blogs that were helpful to them to read beforehand.

For more background, my insurance doesn't cover IF and I don't plan to see an RE. But because they practice NaPro, my doctors do a lot of similar interventions but stop short of IUI/IVF (so they still monitor, prescribe hormones/clomid/femara, perform HSGs and similar surgeries, etc.)

I've already been diagnosed with PCOS (i'm being treated with Metformin) and had 6dpo testing and did several cycles with added progesterone.

Thanks for any help/advice you can offer!
