But a few people just sent registry items without asking for the info (like my SIL's Mom). @nana87: That's what happened too. We send out birth announcements and we received lots of lovely handmade items. Also a lot of gifts from DH customers- I sent anyone who gave a gift a birth announcement and thank you. Also, I wasn't sure how close to keep the party invitees. {Oh, the shower that is being planned for us is an out of state shower (we are flying in for the shower next month), so we had to really think about who we wanted to invite. Since we live across the country we have a large list of people we send christmas cards to every year but not everyone on the list is close but some are like semi-close.} Everyone we did invite were and are fairly close to us but there were people who could have been invited but we were on the fence about. We didn't want to seem gift grabby, either. DH has a large family and we didn't invite all of his uncles and aunts. I think this is where it's stemming from. </p> <p>But good idea on how to respond.
