DS1- no, I went into spontaneous labor at 38w 6d

DS2- not sure? I was heavily monitored due to a placenta previa, which moved @34 weeks. I think I had a lot of monitoring of the heart. I went in to see my OB @ 38w 3d when I was having contractions on and off and lost my plug. I was admitted to the hospital a few hours later (late afternoon) and he was born by the next early morning.

@mediagirl: i didn't have extra fluid. But did have high BP at the doctors sometimes and gd so I have several extra ultrasounds throughout my pregnancy and they were all covered no problem. Generally as long as there is a medical need they're covered

@mediagirl: I had a bunch of extra ultrasounds with my second baby... I was AMA which added a few of them, and they also found a small cyst near his liver in my 20 week US, so then I was referred to an MFM, and had to have monthly ultrasounds to keep track of it. I also had 2 stress tests right before I delivered.... Insurance covered all of it.

@mediagirl: I know you didn't ask me, but I had an ultrasound every week from 31 weeks on, and my insurance covered all but $25 for each additional ultrasound. I think they were billed at $200 and something?

I'm not sure it was technically a NST but my midwife did bring me in and hook me up to the CTG for thirty minutes at 40+3 because I was having periods of contractions and my OB had mentioned low fluid when I saw her at 40+1. Baby's heart rate was fine (as was my bp etc) so it was really just for peace of mind although she did offer to break my waters to kickstart labour if I wanted her to.

I had them 2x wk from ~34wks, I think, due to being AMA. Was a bit annoying, but I did like keeping a close eye on my LO. I also ended up being polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid), so I also got u/s to measure the volume 1 x wk along w/ the nst.
