I bussed tables at a local ski resort, worked as a math tutor in my hs, worked concessions during the 2002 winter olympics, and shelved books at the public library. I obviously didn't do them all at the same time. It didn't interfere with school &amp; I learned a lot about interacting with people, etc. It was a great experience. At 16, I got a hostessing job and later waitressed. My parents just wanted me to study study study! And I did... I was a huge nerd. My after school time was divided into (parent approved) extra curriculars, practicing the piano/violin and studying. </p> <p>During the last summer before university, I was finally allowed because there was no more studying to be done... but I didn't apply in time and couldn't get a job. </p> <p>Did you ever have a part time job as a teenager?
