Once we graduated we all sort of moved away from eachother one at a time. First 3 of them went away to school while I went somewhere else and another stayed home. Then the first one got married and moved, then the next one did (even further away), then the next one did (even FURTHER away). Not a single one of us lives within a few hours drive of any other now...</p> <p>We all sort of keep in touch, but I wouldn't really call any of them my best friend anymore. I was somewhere in between. Of those, I am only in contact with one of them, but we are super close and she is one of my best friends! Of the other two, one decided that she hated who she was in high school and therefore anyone she was friends with in high school. I was living abroad at the time so we didn't talk much anyways, so I didn't feel any great loss. The other developed a severe eating disorder our senior year and walked off the deep end sometime during her first year of college &amp; never spoke to us again. I had a group of friends that were very close. There was probably 20 of us actually. We are all in touch via Facebook and usually once per year get together somewhere for a picnic or whatnot. However, 3 of us, are still VERY close. They are certainly my best friends and nothing will ever change it. We have all moved in and out of state, went to different colleges, have had families, and still manage to see each other quite often, even though one of the trio lives in Georgia. The friend in GA we still saw 18 times last year.
