When I hit high school and though I was super fabulous, I found an old black rotary phone that I wanted to have in my room...so I plugged it in. It then proceeded to somehow knock out ALL of the phone lines in the house...oops. We had to have whoever our phone provider was come out and like, "reset" it. Hahahah. I was always jealous of her because I had to sit right by the phone with whoever I was talking to. Not ideal for 10 year old gossip. Also, when I was in high school I did an exchange program in Honduras. I liked dialing with a rotary phone, too. I think there were some gorgeous old school phones that were rotary. I remember feeling kinda cool that we had gotten a push-button phone. I remember reading that the cities with the most call volume got the lowest digit area codes... that explains the 212 where I live and the 703 where I grew up.
