We had a bit of a sleep regression last night on day 6 of sleep training. He might have been in pain with teething and didn't know how to soothe himself. Past couple of nights, we've dosed him, but didn't last night. He knows to nom on the head of Angel Dear bunny lovey for comfort. I'm hoping that tonight's better. After the dream feed, he fussed for a few minutes and then promptly fell back asleep. I'm not declaring CIO a success until he takes him less than a half hour to fall asleep on his own. I figure we have another tough week ahead of us until he fully gets it.

I've read that it's not unusual to have a regression after a few days of sleep training because baby realizes that this is the new world order and they want to protest. Most of the advice I've read is to power through and once baby accepts the new reality, it will get better.

We are in the middle of the 4 month sleep regression so we are holding off on sleep training until we get through that.

Last night was night 3 of sleep training. The first night was okay and the second night was great with less than 5 minutes of crying at each wakeup.

Last night was awful! He cried for 1.5 hours in the middle of the night and woke every hour after that. I am so tired today at work!

I was so hopeful it was getting better, but now feel like we are back at square one. Did this happen to anyone else?
