Our friends have to travel some distance so I even put on the invite "we'll start at 10am and we'll be home all day. Come by whenever works for you.". My dad will mention several times how he has to wake up for work at 5am, and eventually he just gives up and goes to bed while the clueless people are still hanging around downstairs. So I guess it depends on if your guests have common sense? Most people didn't stick around too long after presents were opened and candles were blown out.
