I think it made a huge difference to how quick and easy my recovery was. I just had a couple of grazes. They burned a little bit when I peed for a couple of days and that was it. You know, when my mom gave birth to my brother and me, it was standard practice for the doctors to give them! Gah! </p> <p>I had some minor tearing. I'm actually really happy about it.</p> <p>I got numbed right before he cut, and I honestly didn't feel it happen....I could just hear the scissors. My baby flew out on the next push (after he seemed to be stuck for sooooooo long). And I had no issues with healing. I delivered a 10lb 8oz baby via forceps. Any time they have to assist a birth with forceps or vacuum, you pretty much get one.</p> <p>Franken-vag is a pretty good description. lol! Honestly though, it wasn't that bad and it healed up nicely.
