I think that I was secretly hoping for a girl, but wouldn't let myself admit to it. When she turned out to be a girl, I was over the moon. This time we found out that we are having a boy. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, just a bit shocked, since I thought for sure it would be another girl! Honestly, even when we found out L was a boy I was disappointed because I knew it really put the pressure on for the second time around, because while I could see myself as a mom to all girls, for some reason I couldn't fathom having a boy. I would get sad all over again every time we walked into a store and saw all the baby girl clothes, and it pretty much lasted until he was born. Now of course I'm crazy about him and wouldn't change a thing because I think my son is absolutely perfect and I couldn't love him more. After DH studied the ultrasound pics he determined we were having a boy. We were both a little disappointed since all of our friends were pregnant with girls (and wanted boys). I think the problem with the whole keep going if its not the sex you want is that you still might end up dissapointed. I will admit I was secretly really wanting a boy with my son. All of my baby dolls and pets growing up were boys. I have a sister and I always wanted a baby brother. I would love to see what its like yo have a girl. This next time I just hope I can get pregnant with a healthy little bundle though. Since this is our last I might mourn the idea of a daughter a teeny bit but I love boys so GD much!
