DS1 wasn't diagnosed as IUGR - he was expected to be small, and he was (5 lb 5 oz, 17.5 inches). At age 4, he's still very small for his age, but healthy as can be.

DS2 was diagnosed with IUGR after weekly scans in the third trimester. I was induced and he was born 5 lb 6 oz, 19 inches. He's still on the smaller side, but much closer to average.

My OB thinks that I just have constitutionally small children rather than deficient placentas. For this pregnancy, I'll probably be monitored again throughout the third trimester.

If you had a diagnosis of IUGR with one pregnancy, did it happen again with subsequent pregnancies?
