We were so busy and spent literally the whole reception walking around and talking to everyone, a little dancing, etc. and neither one of us ate anything - we didn't sit down the whole time! So when we got to the hotel, we were STARVING so I laid on the bed in my dress and took a 15 minute nap while DH went down to the hotel bar/restaurant and got us burgers. LOL! We tried. We honestly did. We gave it our all. It was just too much after a VERY long day. We did all our decorations ourselves, woke at 6 am, decorated till 12. Started getting ready at 12, I did the hair and makeup for all the girls since I am a makeup artist, and then the wedding was at 3. We left the reception at about 7:30, then got to our stop point at like 10 pm. We opened cards, giggled like schoolgirls at how much money we got, then tried to have sex. It failed, I cried, then we went to Walmart and Wendy's, then I cried again in the Wendy's parking lot because it had been such a big, overwhelming, long day. My husband had a hard time saying no to all the guests who wanted to have a drink with the groom so he was in no shape. My aunt and uncle and cousins drove us back to the hotel where the girls helped me out of my dress and they boys helped my husband keep from making a mess. Which is hysterical, because he isn't the type to drink too much - it's only the second time I've ever seen him drunk. The next day we had our Farewell Breakfast and then caught our flight to Florida (we stayed in my grandma's condo for a week). We got into the condo and unpacked and decided to take a swim and then went to bed... and I'm shocked to say that our first sex as a married couple was the best of my life. Totally unexpected, since we'd been sleeping together for 5 years at that point. But it rocked.
