I put his rear end and back on a pillow next to me and we lay on our sides with him facing me. I wasn't able to successfully do this until about 5 1/2 months. </p> <p>The rest of the time we just do the cradle, cross-cradle, or straddle depending on where we are sitting and his mood. Since they're bigger it's just more of their baby laying across them than them actually have to "hold" them. He straddles me and nurses. It's alot like how he nurses in a baby carrier.
