I have the same issue where my nipple is not touching the side, but my aerola does get sucked into the tube. I'm still getting more milk than LO needs in a day during my 3 pumping sessions so I figured I wouldn't worry about it. My nipples are not touching the sides but my areola/breast tissue is, a lot. </p> <p>I'm already in a size L. Should I order an XL size from Medela? Or do I need to go smaller so the breast tissue doesn't get yanked in there? I have a couple of M flanges i can try. </p>
