Most like them, I think. I adored my moby wraps and had several. I didn't have the strength to do it past about 14 pounds, which broke my heart. I'm a lot stronger now, so hopefully I'll manage a lot longer the next time.

My kids both love being carried (DD is 2.5 years old and she STILL gets in the Ergo sometimes), but they did go through periods when they didn't like it so much. I just had to wait out their carrier strikes for a a month or two, and then they got back into it.

I know some kids just don't like it, though, and there's nothing you can do to change their minds. To have the most success, I would suggest keeping the carrier a positive experience (e.g. not forcing them into against their will) and try early and often to introduce them to carrier. You just can't predict how your kid will react in the future, though.

My LO never did like the Ergo, unfortunately. She was a summer baby and we needed the insert and it was just way too hot.

WJ hated all carriers. he got way too hot. So far LMW likes the Ergo... she's fallen asleep in it twice but she stirs and wakes every time I speak.

Neither of my kids took to it. I have had so many carriers too. Was a lot of wasted $$. I plan to try one more time with DS to back wear him but at 14 mo he just wants to run.

LO had to learn to like our SSCs, but she loved the RS immediately. She never liked the Ergo infant insert. Now she gets fussy if she's been in it for an hour or so while awake. My favorites are Sleeping Baby Productions RSs and the Beco Butterfly.

My baby loves the ergo carrier especially if I wear her on my back, she didnt like the insert though. She also liked the baby bjorn carrier when she was smaller. Sometimes she might get fussy but I just walk around or bounce her up and down and she settles down

Yes and no. DS LOVED it as a NB and would take his naps only on me until he was 6 weeks old. But now for some reason he gets fussy in the beco after a period of time. He likes the baby carrier A LOT more if DH has him in it. But sometimes if he is fussy and wants to be held I just let him fuss it out in the carrier, not much else I can do! I think even as babies they need to learn it's not ALL about them and they need to be patient :)

I love the idea of babywearing and have already been researching the carriers I want to register for (we are still TTC!). I wore my friend's baby in her Ergo and it was so comfortable, I felt like I could have done it all day, but she got fussy after 25 minutes or so. I've heard a few friends tell me their babies didn't really like it, or could only tolerate it for short periods of time. But I've read stories on here about babies that only sleep while being worn, or who are worn all the time.

So my question is-- did your baby just take to being worn all the time, or did you have to build up to it? Or, did you want to wear and your baby just wasn't into it? Is there a good way to make them like it? Go ahead and plug your favorite carrier if you want to :)
