We only have a two bedroom and I love the setup. There is a crib that converts to a toddler bed and a twin bed in bedroom 1. Eventually it will be a shared bedroom between the kids. The newborn will be in our master until DS is old enough to move to the twin.

Sounds good to me. We have 4 bedrooms, one for us, one for M, one is on the first floor off the kitchen that we use as the playroom. Baby #2 gets the spare bedroom. If we have #3 then m and baby #2 will be sharing.

We have a 4 bedroom house. LO will stay in his current room, new baby will move to open room and guest room will remain the guest room. All rooms are large and have their own bathroom.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: LOL M does fairly well with change. Bedroom #2 is HUGE. I think it's actually slightly bigger than ours. She will be so lost in there right now as her size! For now we'd rather keep that room as a guest room / office until she's older.

We're planning on room sharing until LO gets quite a bit older or a #3 comes along. Her "big girl" room is upstairs, whereas ours and the nursery are downstairs

Whew! So much to think about!

We have a three bedroom house, and all the rooms are relatively small. Our future nursery is the smallest, and I think we can get away with a twin bed and dresser in here -- but that's it.

*IF* we have twins, we'll likely move Chloe to that room & put two babies in her current room. I plan to use her crib, too, so I worry that this is a lot of change and adjustment for her. It doesn't seem fair, and I'd like the transition to be a smooth as possible. Chloe is not a big fan of change.

If it's one baby, then nothing needs to change.

Does M adjust well to change? I'd worry that it's a lot of moving around for her. Can you just put her in the largest room to begin with? That way, she doesn't change from Room #4 to Room #3, then to Room #2 when she's older! ... and put baby in Room #3!

We will leave A in her room (the bigger of the bedrooms), and baby E will get the other room. A will still need her crib though, since it converts eventually we will turn it into a toddler bed and then a full size bed.

Makes sense to me!
We didn't do any moving around when we had #2!

We have 4 bedrooms in our home. 1 for us obviously and M is currently in the smallest bedroom (we'll call bedroom 4). The bedroom next to us is the biggest after ours, bedroom 2. Across the hall from M is bedroom 3 the third largest.

I don't think we are buying a new crib so new baby will need m's crib. My initial thought was to move M across the hall to bedroom 3 because it will comfortbaly fit a twin or full plus other furniture. Then new baby will get bedroom 4 as his/her nursery.

Eventually when M is older she will then be moved to bedroom 2 and LO #2 into bedroom 3. Seems fair that the oldest gets the bigger room? LOL

But then we thought why move M at all? Why not just keep her in bedroom 4 and move her to bedroom 2 when she's much older. Use bedroom 3 (across the hall) as #2's nursery and #2 will always remain in bedroom 3. Seems to be less moving around. But only a twin will fit comfortably in bedroom 4 and i'd much rather buy her a full for long term use.

Thoughts? If you followed along, kudos to you!

Did you do you plan on moving #1 when #2 arrives/d?
