I broke my back sledding in college (sober). Burst fracture in one vertebrae, hairline fracture in another, cracked tailbone, torn ligaments down my spine. DH was sledding when he was 6 or 7, and he went straight into a tree. He got a pretty serious concussion from it, and actually he can't remember anything before that. I was about 2, my mom was horrified, but it all turned out fine in the end. </p> <p>My cousin got a concussion from sledding/sliding when he came to visit us in our canadian winter! he was from a less-snow-and-ice state and didn't really know how to slide properly and protect his head.
