Also our main registry was at BRU but we also had one on Amazon that we didn't really share and ended up buying most items from there after the discount. We bought ALL the major gear ourselves: stroller, car seat, crib, bouncer, high chair, swing, etc. I bought about half of that stuff used. I also left off a few things I knew I could get used for dirt cheap like an exersaucer, we have a great used market in our town and I wound up borrowing one a friend bought second hand for $8, they are used so briefly it was in great shape and I would have felt awful knowing I had that option and having someone spend $50+ on it. The only other thing was most of our both diapers but that was largely because I hadn't decided which ones yet. </p>
