I only loved the classes, though--my personal life was awful pretty much the entire time--didn't make any friends, was in an abusive relationship, shitty living situations, etc.</p> <p>I'm in grad school now, and these two years have been the best of my life. I was in a sorority, highly involved on campus, and super social. I had great roommates and a great living situation all for years, as well as tons of friends. I went to a big state school and there was always a ton to do. It was a fantastic experience. I loved my classes and coursework (English major here and all I did was read and write - perfect!). However, the social aspect of college was hard for the first couple years - my boyfriend (now husband) and I were long distance and I spent a lot of time driving back and forth to his school or waiting for him to drive to me. I got my BS in studio art... which means just taking a lot of art classes. It wasn't easy, it was a lot of work and a lot of hours. But at least I was doing something fun with all of my time. </p> <p>Then I got my MS in art therapy. It was crazy hard, but again I loved what I was learning and doing so I enjoyed it. </p>
