I had used it during pregnancy to calm down &amp; focus and it really helped during that time! Pre-terrible pitocin contractions we were watching tv, but when they really got going I made Dan turn the TV off. The noise was pissing me off. I needed it absolutely quiet while Dan rubbed my back &amp; I moaned and grunted. Once I got my epi, I decided to rest, so we just left everything off. I brought a little speaker, because I planned to listen to some praise music during the delivery, but I got checked, found out I was 10cm &amp; had a baby in my arm like 15 minutes later. However, my labor ended up being 34 hours and I labored for almost 30 hours out of the hospital. We actually checked into a hotel next to the hospital so we could be close by (the hospital was an hour away with traffic and my parents needed a place to stay anyway). I went to the hotel gym and bounced on an exercise ball while listening to Pandora on my iphone. I usually don't listen to Christian music very often, but that's what I wanted in that moment...something uplifting/inspiring.
