We ended up staying at a friend's apartment for an evening, then into a hotel for the rest of the time.</p> <p>It was a very interesting introduction to fatherhood for me, and a very quick introduction to transporting a newborn around in cars and taxis! However, our electric heat is having a hard time-- it seems to be freezing up wherever it's located, so our landlord told us to turn on the AC every couple of hours to push heat back into the system, to warm it up, then the heat works again for a little while. We lost power last night at 8pm, left the house at 11am today, and our power came back on at 4pm today.
