And when she self-weaned at around 14 months I gained a few pounds...still around my pre-pregnancy weight but it's not my happy weight. Pregnancy made me lose weight, than afterwards I gained the 5 pounds back and stayed at my normal weight. Then at 5 months I gained about 7 more pounds that won't go away, and I think that they'll vanish when I'm done nursing. I've tried dieting, and my body just freaks out with hunger and dizzy spells and such. Once I started having trouble pumping at work around month 11 then quit pumping at 11.5 months, I noticed I needed to consciously eat less cause otherwise I would gain weight. Yesterday, I wasn't feeling well (still am), but forced myself to eat, eat for the milk production purposes. This morning, I was so relieved to see that my daycare had some frozen milk of mine for LO. Part of me will miss eating like my husband and other times not. I've lost all my pregnancy weight, but could stand to lose a little more, but I'm so protective of my supply, I don't want to do anything now that could hurt it. </p> <p>What was your experience with your weight during/after weaning? </p>
