We bought a wheelie board for the stroller for our toddler to ride on. So far it has worked well, but DS has already said "we should buy a double stroller" when he's tired of walking or riding the wheelie board. LOs are 28 months apart. We used it maybe once a day for a walk around the neighborhood before the weather got cold, but haven't used it lately. Some families get away without one, especially if you just drive most places. Also, at around 2-3 yo, young toddlers often just want to walk everywhere anyway, so you could still switch off the single stroller between the two. </p> <p>If you plan to use a stroller for day-long trips quite often, if you live in a walking city and run errands a lot with two kids, or if you want to go jogging with two kids in tow... I would say to definitely get a double. Otherwise, you might be able to do without! </p> <p>I was able to swing it without a double for about 4 months with two LOs about 3 years apart, but then got one since we lived in a walking city (had no car, walked or took the subway everywhere), winter hit, and I needed them both in a rain/snow protected stroller when we ran errands, went to preschool, the grocery, etc...
