They told me to take if off when I was actually pushing, but the pressure of the mask against my neck when it was off was making me sick (I also had to take off my necklace for the same reason). Finally I ripped the dang thing completely off and held it to my face between contractions. </p> <p>Did you need an oxygen mask? </p>
