@Anagram: Isn't it crazy how some babies have a clear disruption and some have nothing, even in the same family?

With LO1: It was early, never stopped, and was terrible. She went from 1-2 wakeups a night to 6-8 which continued until we sleep trained after she was 6 months. Even after sleep training, she had 1-2 wakeups a night.

LO2: blip on the radar. Maybe 3 nights of more frequent wakeups and then back to her usual 1-2 wakeups.

@pachamama: It definitely happened, and his sleep patterns were drastically disturbed (night sleep only). But it ended as quickly as it started. Nothing lasting, went right back to normal.

DS went from sleeping though the night from 3-4 months old, to waking up every hour. It was horrible. I think he is the king of the sleep regression. We are now deeply in the midst of the 2 year... Yet another doozie.

Yes. DS has never been a good sleeper but he finally started giving us 5 hour stretches at about 3.5 months. It was a glorious two weeks 😢 We recently did some sleep training at 9 months and it's gotten much better.

Mine was just a bad sleeper before during and after 4 months. At 7 months he's now sleeping much better!

My first had a very clear regression at 4 months that lasted a few weeks then he went back to normal!

Going through it right now, my son is 4 1/2 months. He's up 3-4x a night. We did also just transition him from the Rock N Play to the crib, so I think that's also causing all of the wake ups. I'm hoping it stops soon. Mama is tired!!

My first skipped it. With my second I was pregnant again and had a dramatic decrease in supply and she went from sleeping through the night to eating 2-3 times over night. I'm not sure if it was the regression or hunger. as soon as we got her on solid she went back to STTN.
My third turned four months yesterday and so far so good.

I don't remember it with E but we co-slept full time, so if he woke up/woke me up it was just for a few seconds.

We're having a harder time with G. She's up every two hours every night, and she's starting to teeth on top of it. And her naps during the day are terrible. There are some days where she only naps for 20-30 minutes, twice a day. There is not enough coffee in the world to make me feel rested. She'll be 5 months next week.

It was awful! But we were also traveling right around 4 months--I don't know if it was the new surroundings or the regression that made it worse, though we also traveled around 5 months and she was just fine then

DS1 - didn't notice at all.
DS4 - it was horrific for a few weeks. We had to get "tough" about it to put an end to it. It wasn't fun at all.

Yes, baby is nine months and the regression never ended. Though it's partly my fault for doing whatever it takes to keep her from crying and waking up everyone else. I've created some major bad habits

With my daughter, it happened at more like 3.5 months. She went from waking only once, maybe twice a night to every 2 hours or less....for the next 11 months  !

My son was a crap sleeper from day 1, so I didn't notice any difference.
