We were taking zero chances. Mini pill after the first, and he wasn't allowed anywhere near me until the Mirena was in and working. After BC pills for years and then pregnancy and THEN breastfeeding, I never wanted to mess with my hormones. I wanted to feel like myself. We used condoms mostly and PNP.</p> <p>I won't ever go back on BC. I went back on the pill at six week with DS. I found it really helped stabilize my hormones and help my feel "normal" again if that makes sense. I really wish I would have gone back on it the first time around because maybe it would have helped with all the anxiety/depression I had... I like the one I take as you only get your period every 3 months which is super convenient for me with all my triathlon training. I have noticed a difference in my libido though. I'm also hoping the pill will help control some of my post baby acne which is terrible along my jaw line. Not sure how long I'll stay on it but I don't really like the other options available. I wish there was a BC pill for men! I had a terrible experience with the mini pill pre LO1 so I got a Paraguard. Never want to go back on hormonal BC again. Right now we'll use condoms until we're ready to TTC #3. Don't know what our permanent plan will be after that! </p>
