Well, we hired someone to. Actually I had chosen a gender-neutral yellow when we moved into the house, but of course changed my mind as soon as I got pregnant! We got it used on a local buy and sell for a steal from a couple that used it for 2 kids but it was in amazing condition. It was super simple. We painted the wall a clean white and then ran 2" painters tape in the lattice pattern and painted the blue over it. Then we used clear contact paper type stuff to make our own stencils using exacto knives. We painted them a tan color. The nursery colors are pink, chocolate brown and tan.
