Most of my family won't care, but my dad has said things like, well who wants a girl? To me, just one of his FOUR daughters. He's done a few things since my brother's son was born that piss me off, actually, like indicating that that grandson is more important than my sister's son, because of the name. And it's not even a cultural thing. He would love a granddaughter, I'm sure, but either way our child won't be as important as my brother's.
