It actually might not be a bad idea if they do the same kind of class that we did because they put us into groups of boys and girls and asked us to come up with questions that we had. Well, as ready as I can be. But while I'm hoping to go unmedicated, I know things don't always go as planned so I ALSO want to know about the different interventions and options. I'm delivering in a hospital so I suppose the homebirths aren't directly relevant, but you know, birth is kind of the same process is either way, it's all the outside stuff that changes. Our hospital went through the basics of childbirth, labor and delivery, etc. really well. None of it seemed frightening or scary. We did the tour, but had already been in a labor &amp; delivery suite for a friend's birth, so we knew what the room was like. Did you do some reading or preparing in advance of the class? Or just show up ready to take it all in? I started reading the labor bit from What to Expect last night, and I read every birth story on HB, but wondering if there is anything else I should be doing. DH.... well, he saw Knocked Up, does that count as preparing? </p>
