@Mrsbells: Well I personally still use the stuff (diaper rash cream, creams, oils etc) so i don't really need to put stuff away.

How did store everything from your first baby to your second? DId you just put all the clothes in a jumbo ziploc bag to keep it airtight?

The only thing I can think of that I'm going to buy 'again' is a comfy chair for nursing (for the first we used a wooden rocking chair that belonged to my great aunt - but I want something cushy) and a new baby 'wearer'. I really want to try the ergo. I may also buy a changing pad thing because we didn't have one for Roo but the nursery will be set up differently.

There are things I borrowed for my first (car seat, bouncy seat, bassinet) that I won't have access to this time because my SIL is due two weeks after me... but I'm hoping I can find another friend to borrow from!

The kids will be in the same room. So we'll set up my childhood bunk bed and get Roo used to it soon - then put the baby in the crib. Since they'll be in the same room it'll be easy to share all the toiletries - I may set the 'diaper station' up in the guest room but we'll see.

Clothes I'm good. I'm just talking about products, like new shampoos, diapers (obviously) I did get new bottles seeing the ones I have now are discontinued and I am thinking of buying new thermometer.

@mrs. wagon: My baby girl wears dark gray (which my mom says is a boy color). But I don't care, she still looks adorable to me :) But if you're mom's going to go crazy buying pink I'm sure your friends will appreciate all of your boy clothes.

I just went through all of RJ's baby clothes and set aside all the boy stuff to give away. I can repurpose almost all of the newborn sized stuff and about a quarter of the 0-3 month stuff... but as much as I thought I could put my daughter in navy blue or dark brown wide leg pants, I just can't. Plus I just know that my mom will buy a million things she can wear and the navy blue / dark brown stuff can be so much better used by our friends who are due with their boy just a month after we're due with our girl!

Thanks to hand-me-downs, we have an extra crib, dresser and glider for the new baby's room. Since we always have a supply of triple paste and baby wipes on hand, I'll have to buy diapers and a changing pad for the baby's room (we still use RJ's for him), and a few things like another humidifier, more crib mattress pads and fitted sheets, another breathable bumper, another diaper champ (Rob Sr. threw ours away in a fit of rage over the state of their smell after he thoroughly cleaned them), and a new baby monitor with two cameras. Our current one is dying slowly.

Since I am having another girl I am totally going to use everything I have left from the first time but theres still stuff we have to get since I got rid of some stuff not thinking about the future. Thankfully we still have the big things like crib, carseat, stroller.

i bought some gripe water, but purchased second bottles of shampoo, diaper cream, etc. we did buy all the furniture for a completely new nursery, but other than that, we didn't buy much in terms of clothes (though we needed to after the fact since she was so small), toys (didn't buy any), gear (borrowed from friend). we did have to buy diapers though!

We've only got 1 right now, but if I got pregnant again, I'd use what I have. We just buy toiletries as we go - diaper cream, shampoo, etc... I bought DS's clothes mostly second hand or steep clearance, so I've sold what I can back to the store, aside from a few favorites. It funds our purchase of the next size clothes, and then if I have a girl, I'll just buy new for her. With bigger gear, we bought gender neutral (pack n play, stroller, carseats, etc...) so they will work for either gender if we have a girl next.

I'm planning on using everything I have (depending on the gender, if my next is a boy I'll have to purchase new things because I have a lot of pink now). Especially things like diaper rash cream... because we have like 3 tubes and none of them have even been opened- LO hasn't gotten diaper rash (knock on wood!). I feel like we'll already be spending a lot of money on things like furniture, so I'll save when I can.

I will have to start thinking about prepping my hospital bag and nursery "products" shortly and I was wondering if you simply purchased everything new for the second time as well.

Meaning, I have some diaper rash... but did you get a second tub for the new baby? Honestly, I've lost some stuff along the way and am considering buying something completely new (seeing I didn't love the original brand/product)

I'm not sure if this post makes any sense. ha!
