I was the opposite as a SAHM-- once he was down to just a few night feedings, I'd nurse all day and then his bedtime feeding, midnight feeding, and 5am feeding would all be bottle and I'd pump while Rob Sr. fed RJ a bottle. Then when he went down to a single night feeding, I'd pump once before I went to bed, and the first morning feeding would be nursing.

I didn't give up my daytime pumping routine until 14 months. After that, supply tanked. She still nurses at night (5 minutes before bed and once at about 5 am), but there's not much there.

I've though about not pumping during the day, but I already have supply issues so I don't want to take the chance. I mainly just pump at work to maintain supply and then he gets whatever I manage to pump at daycare, and then the rest formula. I nurse when I'm home.

Some women like my district manager stopped pumping and still has plenty of milk for evenings/nights and all weekend long for her 1 year old. When I stopped dedicatedly pumping during the day and tried just nursing when I was with my son (mornings, nights, and all weekend), my supply didn't keep up and my son started had to be supplemented every other feeding even when I was with him. This went on for about a month and then I just didn't have enough milk for even every other feeding so we went to formula full time.

My baby is one year old and I just stopped pumping at work. I now bf early in the morning, late afternoon and night. I hope my supply holds up but who knows? He eats a lot of solids now anyway and has cow's milk or rice milk during the day.

My supply went down considerably after about 7 months, but I kept at the pump and never had to supplement. I just really, really didn't want to, after all that.

Oh, this is so timely for me!
LO is almost 9 months old, and my supply has been tanking for months, but I feel so guilty stopping pumping, even though these days I'm pumping twice at work and getting like 3 oz. I nurse him when we're together (though I still supplement with formula during weekends because I'm afraid he doesn't get enough from me).
I think I'm quitting pumping this week (pretty much on his 9 month b-day)- I'm starting a new assignment at work at a remote location where I won't have my own office, so that seems to me like a pretty good sign that my pumping days are over.
I do want to keep nursing at night/in the mornings (I'd like to continue that till he's at least a year, longer if he wants to), but I still worry about supply... I'd also love to hear from people who've done this. Will my boobs just adjust to not making milk so much during the day, but still make some for him at night?
I really wanted to go longer, but pumping just doesn't seem to be working for me anymore (and to think, I used to take for granted that I could pump like 4 oz ON EACH SIDE, PER SESSION, when I first went back to work!)

I pump all day at work and BF in the evening/morning. Liv is 5.5 months old now and I plan to continue until at least a year. But yeah, pumping every 2 hours is getting old. But Im determined lol

My friend's mom would nurse at night and give her formula at daycare. She stopped breastfeeding after 6 months.

I find that pumping during the day really interrupts my work flow. I wish I could just give Olive formula in the day, and then nurse at night. But she's still a little too young, and I don't want to mess with my supply.... plus how do I live with the guilt????

Did you quit pumping at work but continue to breastfeed at night? How long did you pump? How long did you breastfeed?
