I actually HATE reading, so it was definitely a good story that hooked me in. I'm going to see the movie for my BFF's birthday Friday night, which I'm not looking forward to at all. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, but just not on opening night with a bunch of die-hard fans/tweens/annoying people. It was slow at work, and I couldn't put them down. My co-workers teased me like crazy because I was so checked out for those shifts! I read the whole series in a matter of days. Then the following week, I read the series three more times because every time I finished the last book, I would want to read the first one again just to make myself less angry at her. Not everything is eligible for prime shipping but lots of products are eligible and arrive super fast. But I had a friend who would read the Harry Potter books RIGHT before going to the movie, and then he ALWAYS left the movie angry, where-as I put years between when I read the book and watched the movie so I still found the movie entertaining on its own and couldn't remember all the pieces that were missing or wrong. It made for a more more enjoyable experience for me. It's so good! And I also read the trilogy in about a week. I think I read the 2nd and 3rd book in about 3 days each. I never read a series so quickly but I think it's because of my kindle and being able to buy books at anytime. @Adira: That is a good point about not reading the book again but then again I've seen movies where it's been a while since I read the book and I still question the movie. I blew through all 3 within a few days. Once you finish those, another similar concept is Divergent by Veronica Roth. I loved it! It's the first in another trilogy, but the last two have not come out yet.
