The name is gender neutral, and they got a girl dog...they were going to name her our son's name! I called him and just asked that he refrain from naming her that, and he figured out why. They didn't say a word though! Whenever anyone would ask I would tell them I was going to name the babe after them. For example, I got asked most often by my stepmother Connie. I read that our baby's name sounded like something bad in another language so I asked a high school friend, and native speaker, her opinion of the potential conflict. I also told our doula at our last pre-natal appointment. It felt so strange to say it.</p> <p>Any one else make exceptions to their "no sharing" policy? </p>
